Greetings and Happy New Year from me, DWNTWN.
I primarily write/blog to help me unclutter my mind, and reflect on where I have been and where I am heading.
Hopefully, in the year ahead I find myself steppin' out of my comfort zone and exploring more of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
I am getting a slower start to the morning than I anticipated.
Actually, I haven't even stepped out of my front door yet.
This makes me think of a New Year quote from Bill Vaughn,
"Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve.
Middle age is when you're forced to."
Certainly I fall into the middle age category.
I turned 50 not long ago and am still getting used to the idea.
I should acknowledge that not knowing how long I have to live, I might already be old age.
No where is it written that I will live to 100 making 50 middle age.
But I am getting off track.
As I was saying...
I am getting a slower start to the morning than I anticipated.
We hosted extra teens at our house last night for New Years Eve.
6 teenage girls slept here last night with a couple others stopping by for snacks and refreshment.
The 1 teenage boy that lives here opted to escape the estrogen-fest and celebrate with friends across town.
By the time all youngsters were safely in their respective places it was 2:00am.
This is much later than I have stayed up in, well..., a very long time.
I must have had fun playing Wii Resort games because I have heard often,
"time flies when you are having fun" and 2:00am came quickly!
2011, a New Year!
Let the fun continue....
