After a very therapeutic afternoon with my sister, I get to catch another Blazer game.

Extreme winter weather at Silver Falls State Park

Ranger Dorothy set out to capture the effects of the winter weather on the trails and the falls at Silver Falls State Park.  The images aren't mine, but they are incredible and I wanted to share them.

Today is one of those days when I am struggling to pick myself back up.
I get this way now and again.
I  have even blogged about this sort of feeling before.
Last time I blogged about it I had at least made it through the holidays.
I am working at not taking my mood out on those near me, focusing on the Christmas cheer all around, and waiting, hoping this passes soon.
Sometimes I think I get down because of the lack of sunlight this time of year, maybe it is not being able to get outside and play or dig in the garden.  Maybe it is missing family and friends.
I don't exactly know.
What I have learned helps me get out of this funk I need to blog,
to get out and take some pictures,
and look for little escapes throughout the day.
So I cranked up the kerosene heater, turned on the outdoor lights, have some Van Morrison tunes in the background, and am blogging on the front porch.
I'm dreaming of warmer days, summer nights, and a garden in bloom.
